SF L&E ASSOCIATE OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an opportunity for an Associate in the San Francisco office of an AM100 law firm. Lawyers and staff in this firm are all friendly and respect one another, and while they enjoy social experiences together, they also understand the importance of having lives outside of work. This firm is currently looking for a Labor & Employment Associate with 3-5 years of experience in wage & hour class actions (including class opposition strategy, fact development, briefing, argument), employment law compliance advice and counseling, litigation (trade secrets and employee mobility), wrongful termination, whistleblowers, and employment discrimination and harassment. Experience in preparation and negotiation of employment agreements, separation agreements, and other employment and personnel related contracts/policies would be ideal. In this position, candidates may also find themselves conducting due diligence and drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements and aspects of purchase and merger agreements in the context of corporate M&A transactions. Outstanding research and analytical skills and strong writing skills are imperative. Comfort in dealing directly with clients and the ability to effectively balance multiple projects and to be responsive to client advice and counseling requests is expected. Ideal candidates will exercise sound legal and business knowledge in working on a broad spectrum of cases and counseling clients with respect to ongoing matters. Excellent communication skills are key: the ability to attentively listen, actively engage, and concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form. A strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills, and action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility for client matters will add to your success on this team. The anticipated salary range for this position in San Francisco is $260-$365k.
