Los Angeles Eminent Domain Attorney Opportunity

A full-service law firm with approximately 185 attorneys is seeking an experienced Eminent Domain Attorney. This position is ideal for an attorney with litigation experience in eminent domain, acquisitions, and inverse condemnation. Candidates should be Of Counsel or Senior Counsel at a law firm with at least 7 years of experience, including jury trials. This position offers flexible work arrangements, with the expectation of collaboration across multiple offices.

Duties:

  • Represent public agencies and private entities in eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases.

  • Handle all aspects of complex litigation, including discovery, motions practice, depositions, and trial preparation.

  • Conduct jury trials and represent clients in court.

  • Provide strategic legal advice on the acquisition of property through eminent domain and related legal matters.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop litigation strategies and resolve disputes.

  • Research and draft legal briefs, memoranda, and other documents in support of litigation efforts.

  • Work closely with colleagues and clients to navigate regulatory challenges and complex legal issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of complex litigation experience, including jury trial experience.

  • Experience in eminent domain and inverse condemnation litigation is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of property law and condemnation processes.

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and handle multiple matters simultaneously.

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly.

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Salary Range:

$220K/yr - $275K/yr + Bonus
