The Los Angeles office of an AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a mid-level associate with a minimum of four years’ experience to join its commercial litigation group in Los Angeles. They prefer candidates with law-firm experience, including managing cases; drafting and research responsibility for pleadings and contested motions (such as motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, preliminary injunction, or class certification briefing); taking depositions; propounding written discovery and responses; and arguing motions. Candidates with experience or demonstrated interest in complex litigation- especially areas of focus such as soft IP (e.g., trademark, copyright, trade secret); unfair competition; or consumer class actions preferred. Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills are required. Clerkship and court experience are not required but are a plus. This firm only has an 1850 billable hours expectation.

The annualized salary range for this position in California is $225,000 to $330,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
